00 Expy XLT Sport -Running board lights?

00 Expy XLT Sport -Running board lights?
I'm hoping somebody can give me a heads up before I plunge in with my test light, multitester, and probes... and totally regret it...
After refinishing my Sport package nerfs and reinstalling them, I noticed electric plugs mounted on the outside of my frame rails. They are just about midway between the front and rear wheels. They have caps on them and seem to just be sitting there asking to be used for under-truck lighting. I suspect these are for the Eddie Bauer lighted running boards. Are they? Could it be that for once in my life I don't have to run more wire?
Are there other common plugs and runs between the XLT Sport and the EB's wiring?
