Since my recently-purchased 2005 Expedition has the "SAT" button on the radio, my understanding is that I can get a satellite radio add-on kit. From what I have read, Ford has a partnership with Sirius for satellite radio. Does this mean that I cannot get XM? Either way, how expensive and complicated is it to get the satellite radio kit? Is it only available from dealers?
I just bought my 05 EB Expedition with the SAT. I live in the St. Louis area and the dealers are charging $429.00 for the SAT. I don't know about the XM because I had Sirius on my old car and just transferred the account over.
Also, if you are getting a DVD installed, there is a way to set the system up so you can operate the DVD through the headsets and still listen to SAT and retain use to use the vehicle speakers also if you wanted to watch the movie without the headsets later on.
