The factory pipe is 2.5" and the muffler you want is center inlet and the outlet can be anywhere becasue if it is center or offset you can just flip muffler over. You are going to want a 3" though and get someone to run 3 inch pipe for you from the Cat back. The factory muffler is so long you will need some pipe. Also the trucks with the resonator need that removed, it is after the muffler. Good luck. I paid 180 including muffler for a local shop to do the work.

Not sure. The guy who welded mine had to sleeve the pipe coming form the cat to get a small enough gap to weld. You sure it was 3"?

I put 3"I/O FM70 on. It welded right up with only an extension needed to compensate for the length difference.

The difference, Monsta, is that Luzer is talking about his pre-2003 Expy. I have found this to be a common problem in this forum. Pre-2003 Expys just can not be compared to 2003 and newer Expys, yet users keep doing it. I'm not saying one is better than the other, they are just completely different creatures.

Right on. I thought he was referring to 03+ as well.
