Question 1942-1947 Ford F1 Production

Hey Guys,
I am interested in finding out the production numbers for Ford F1 pickups from 1942-1947. I have looked on the internet with no luck and so I am hoping that someone out-there is somewhat knowledgeable on this request. I know that production numbers were low from 42'-47' but how low? Which F1's are more desirable? You don't have to be an expert to answer this one, your opinions are welcome. Thanks in advance for any help that you can offer.

I dont know the productioin numbers, but 46fordtruck should be around soon with those. The F-1 designation for light pickup did not start until 1948. So prior to 1948 light pickups are simply referred to as 1/2 tons. I dont believe any of the years that the "Jailbar" were produced would be more or less valuable. Jailbar is a nickname for the 42-47 Ford 1/2 ton started in New Zealand and Australia. The name has caught on recently in the US. The 42-47 1/2 ton is extremely popular in NZ and Australia for street rod material. They were not produced during the war years, of 43 and 44.

Off the top of my head, in 46 75,088 1/2 tons were made. And like 46yblock said, they are not referred to as F1s. This is a common mistake. Real market values (not those you get from a book) for the '42-'47 is about the same, with maybe the '42 being a tad higher, but not by much, only because of a shorter production span. As you probably know, these trucks are nearly identical though all those years, with only very minor differences (i.e. 42 had a bolt on chrome hood script). I don't think the year to year production numbers were all that low when compared to the rest of the truck market...remember, back then trucks were bought to be trucks, you didn't buy one just to have and impress the neighbors.
