We have a '95 Explorer Limited with the Message Center computer in the center console. One of its functions is to let us know when to change the oil and what the remaining oil life is.
My question is, how does this work? Is it simply a mileage counter or is it more sophisticated than that? If it IS a mileage counter, what are the default intervals?
