05 Explorer Trans issue

I KNOW I KNOW you have all seen this topic before but I would like to add something to it

1. when I drive normaly down the road then I let off the gas, appling the brake and making a turn - when I apply the gas the RPMs rise but it is like the trany is not engaged until about 1100 RPMs then it surges forward but does not bang and seems to work normal after it engages.

2. when I am using cruise control all works well but when I go down a steep hill it will sometimes shift out of OD and down to a lower gear so the RPMs go up but my speed stays the same.

3. and I can agree with the others shifting between 1-2 2-3 is slow and feels wiered

I have a dealer oppintment tomorrow but i was told over the phone it might be normal.........

An Update..........

Per other threads I have seen here I went to my dealer and they replaced a shift module in my trany and now it shifts much better.....not 100% but VERY close...
I am very satisfied with the change

Thanks
Mike

Mine does the same thing you said however I have 70,000 miles on it. I'm guessing yours was under warranty, but do you know what it would cost out of waranty?
