Im a little new when it comes to the world of car audio, so take it easy on me please. I own a 99 f-150 ext cab. As of right now i have the stock cd player with 4 pionier 4-way speakers. I have been looking into installing a system with new cd player, amp, and sub. Thats where my first question comes into play. The space under the back seats is not very big at all. I want to be able to put an amp in the middle with either one or two subs on either side of the rear bench. Has anyone ever done this, i am thinking i would be able to build my own box with MDF, seal it, and carpet it nicely, but what size could i be able to fit under the bench?? 10's or 8's. I have my eye on 2 JL audio 8" subs,a pionier 750w amp, and either a kenwood or pionier cd player. What do you all think? Also i have a factory installed 6 cd changer in the middle console, is there an aftermarket cd player that can run the factory installed changer?
Any suggestions/help appreciated.

I would have to say, start with a good Pioneer Premier MP3 deck, then any chop that sells boxes should be able to get one (if they don't stock it) to go right under the seat. The Pineer amps aren't that bad either. As far as the size of the subs I helped install 2 10" Pineer IMPPs under the back seat of a '96 Dodge club cab so You might be able to get away with 10s
Thanks for the advise. Are all of JL audio subwoofers good? I think the ones im looking at are their lower end product. Is there another brand that makes good quality subs for a reasonable price?

It depends on what you are calling resonable, Kicker is good but I think they only go as small as 10s now. For an 8" type JL is one of the few. I have never really dealt too much with the JLs though. The JL W7s are supposed to be pretty good though.
