recall on cruise control
anyone get a recall letter yet on their cruise control causing engine fires. Saw it in the paper couple weeks ago. I have a used expo, what do i have to do , just call a local dealer?

Currently is on 2000 models only. However, the NHTSA is investigating if the other models (97-99 and 01-up) need to be added to the recall.
What happens is the brake disconnect switch (the one that turns off the cruise when you apply the brakes) is located on the master cylinder itself. The switches on atleast the 2000 models have been found that over time can short out and ignite the brake fluid. This can happen with the car on or off.
