'99 Expy - Popping Noise and Grease leak
I started noticing a popping noise under the front driver side on my Expy, not constant but pretty regular. I got under it and noticed grease everywhere that looked to be coming out of the CV Boot. Am I looking at an axle replacement? I would appreciate some of your thoughts. Thanks!

Axle Boot
Axle boots hold in grease for joint lubrication, so if your seeing grease all over, it's a good chance the boot is torn. Your best bet is to replace the whole axle. If the outer boot is torn, the inner isn't far from it. It would also be a good idea to replace any seals that come in contact with your axle. There should be on in the steering knukle, and maybe one in the trans. case.
