1996 Ford Ranger Wheel
I am looking into buying a 1996 Ford Ranger. It is a very nice truck for its age, but the only thing that bothers me is the very small wheels. Can anyone help me by letting me know the thread pattern on these trucks and any other information I am going to need. Also, does anyone know where I can get relatively inexpensive wheels for this truck. Thanks.

Is it 2x4 or 4x4? I'm assuming it must be 2x4 w/14" rims. If you want cheap...look into baja chromed dipped. Or go to a salvage yard and take some off a 4x4 ranger or an Explorer, that will give you 15". That is if 15's are gonna be big enough for what you want. I believe the bolt patter is 5x4.5, I also seem to remember that Jeep wheels fit as well. At least that is what my tire guy told me.

It is a 2X4. I'm not sure what it has on it now, but I believe it has stock steel wheels on it. Up to what year ranger or explorer wheel would fit?

I'm not positive on this, but I believe they all interchange. Another real good place to look is ebay. Just keep in mind clearance may be an issue with larger rims/tires, which could lead to a suspension lift or body lift.
