This weekend I swapped out my manifold for a beautiful new Edelbrock Performer EFI. It "only" took around 20 hours to complete, 15 trips to AutoZone for various parts, one broken fuel injector cap which wasnt replacable except to buy the whole injector @ $100. Anyway everything seemed fine until I was @ WOT trying to time the engine and noticed radiator fluid spilling from the front manifold-end seal. Ooops I guess you all know what I'll be doing "again" this weekend. This was my bad, got careless with the RTV silicone most likely. Anyway this is the least of my issues right now.
Over the last week I've started to notice a metal to metal clunk coming from my passenger front tire. Upon inspection I found I could push up on the left axel, right behind the rubber boot which feeds into the front carrier, about 1/8 an inch. Oil is seeping slowly out as well. I think the main press in bearing inside the pinion housing is bad. If this does need replacement does anybody know approx $$$. The manifold I can deal with, its just my own time. I dont think my mechanical skills extend to dealing with my front end. Anyway thanks in advance to any replies.
