Can anyone tell me what fuse #23 does?
I just picked up my new (used) X a few days ago. So I'm new to Ford Trucks, New to the Expy, and New to FTE. I really like the truck though and have been spending all my spare time reading all I can find about my new ride. Thanks for all the valuable info that you guys put out there for Newbies like me to learn from.
O.K. What is fuse #23 for? Everything seems to be working fine but I pulled the fuse panel cover off to check something and noticed that fuse #23 had a small piece of brassy looking metal wedged in on one side of the fuse where it plugs into the socket. I was curious so I pulled the fuse out and the piece of metal fell out. I didn't bother to put it back since it didn't really seem to belong there in the first place.
Now I'm curious as to why it was there. I don't have an owner's or service manual so I was wondering if someone could tell me what that fuse does so I could do a little further investigation.
Thanks for the help.

The brass piece is used to power an aux device such as a ham radio, scanner, or any 12vdc device that you would like to add without cutting into the vehicle's wiring harness. I didn't look to see what fuse 23 does.

It basically supplies power to the swithes that control relays.
What ever it controlled/ powered the previous owner took it with them?
Thanks again, I guess it's nothing to worry about.
