heater core /blower motor question

i'm getting ready to tear everything apart and replace this stuff. i have a 79 f-150 supercab with factory a/c. looking at the parts books it says you can have standard heater and heavy duty heater, how do i know which one i got? can you interchange the heater cores?

also can you tell which motor you have before you pull it apart? just trying to get parts together. anything else i should do while all this is apart? of course hoses/belts ect.

A 73-79 factory a/c truck always has the same blower motor and always has a high output core - they are different sizes so the cores can't be interchanged. So tell the parts guy you have factory a/c and you will be fine. Be sure to read through the tech article, it describes the steps required to replace the core.
