Alot of it would depend on how mechanicaly inclined you are, what tools are avialable to you and how much support you can get from your family and friends. There is an old saying that with enough time and money anything is posible. So talk with your folks and listen (most of them have been down the bumpy road of life and will havve some insight to most problems). If you decide to proceed keep in touch and ask questions along the way, you will get answers.
Good Luck

The whole chassis swap idea has come up often on FTE, that is why you may not get too many replies about it. Dont worry its a forum and asking questions is what its all about. Many people have not done this swap before and can only produce imformation about it from what they have read and people they have talked to; Im one of those people. There are articles online detailing what people have done and I recommend you search the internet and read what thsoe people have to say. Most people will tell you that it will involve making alot of brackets to mount the body to the frame which takes time and skill with a welder. Newer frames have a dip in the middle, where as older frame rails are straight and this also causes problems. There is a sticky in the 1948 and up section detailing alternatives for front suspension. Its a good read and I recommend you take the time to read it before you decided. Hope this helps and good luck.
(BTW this post is in the wrong section but dont worry it will probably be moved to the 48 and up so the correct people can help you out.)
