Question 1938 1/2 ton wiring

Could anyone give me some help in rewiring my truck? It's original now but I need to change it so it works all the time. Thanks, JH

Best bet to just replace all the wiring with new harnesses. 67 year old wiring is a fire waiting to happen. You can pick up the wiring at many old Ford places, such as Mac's, CW Moss, Bob Drake, etc. The harnesses are pretty east to install, everything is pretty much in the right places, just start at one end and work your way back connecting all the wiring. I did my first one when I was 15 in my '46. A wiring diagram will come with the wires, or at least it should.

Original if you are leaving it all original. Kits like those from Painless are usually universal, so you will need a little more knowledge to set it up right and route everything. If you are running a stock engine and mostly original type accessories, then an original harness would be fine, even with 12 volts instead of 6.

Thanks for the advice!! Will try Moss or one of the others. Kinda sounds like it's not as hard as I'm thinking it could be.
