I am putting in a set of Warn Hubs on my 95 F250 4x4 PSD with the heavy duty suspension. Do any of you know what size the spindle nut is? The shop says to take one off and bring it by. Its hard to drive to the shop on three wheels.
Heh, i'd go to another shop if they think you can take the hub apart and drive it lol.
The nuts have changed over the years, but if it actually is a nut, than it's probably 2 1/2". My dad's F-250 has used the 4 prong type hub socket, my F-150 just uses a 2 1/2" hex nut...
I swapped out the stock auto hubs (3 screw model) on my '95 F-250 and installed Warns. To remove the existing spindle nut I had to use a 1 3/4 rounded end sprindle nut wrench. To install the Warn hubs, I needed a different lock-nut wrench since a hub conversion kit was necessary.
The Warn hubs come with decent installation instructions. Finding the right spindle wrench and lock nut wrench was the tough part.
