T-18 to a T-19
i was wondering what are the differences between the two i had a T-18 im my truck but for christmas i got a T19 and i was wondering which is better, and if the shift pattern is the same, and anything else you guys could tell me that makes them diffrent from each other.

They really are pretty much the same trans. Same shift pattern...and the only difference that I can remember is that the T-19 has 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th with synco's. The T-18 only has synco's on 2nd, 3rd, 4th. Both really tough GREAT trans...

Some T18's have a much lower 1st gear in them than the T19's. The second and third gears are also a little lower. If you like to rock-crawl, the T18 is the one to use. Otherwise, both are good trannys.
