I have a question. First off I have on 04 FX4 Screw with 5.4L and 3.73 LS rear.
When hitting light bumps I get a moderarte clicking or poping noise coming from the area where the front door closes and the rear door hinges are. The truck was in prior (clutch packs and head liner rattle) and they said they checked the torque on all the bolts and they came up fine. After getting the truck back I did not hear it for about 1K miles and now it is back. I am thinking that it is something under the plastic internal cover (where fron seat belts are located). Does anyone know what is under there. I was thinking about trying to take it off but this would require removing the seat belt bolts and I do not know the torque specs for reinstallation.
Any help you guys can provide would be greately appreciated.
First thanks for the reply. I have checked there and have definately isolated it to the section noted. I am just short of pulling it off and riding around without the cover to see if it will help me narrow it down. does anyone know if this can be done if I reinstall the seatbelst but leave the cover off.
I had the same problem and test drove another truck that did the same. Have your dealer check the back glass mine was loose and causing a rattleing popping noise. I have the power slider back glass but the truck I test drove had just the plain back glass. After the mech resealed the glass no more noise now if they could fix the vibration.
