Looking for 12V power supply in 01 Expedition
I need to install some 12 volt powered accessories in a 2001 Expedition XLT. It is almost impossible to identify a constant hot or a switched hot power source in the wiring harness that is found beneath the center console. I'm looking for a wiring diagram or an accurate description of reliable 12 volt power sources in this vehicle.

Very simple to do with a voltmeter, multimeter, or test light. There is a power port (cigarette lighter) that has constant +12 V at the back of the center console. You can remove the back of the console and locate the hot wire going to the port. Then it is just a matter of splicing into that wire. Good luck.

I wanted to avoid tapping into a wire that was hooked up to an existing accessory. The wiring harness and block under the center console seems to have a lot of unused wires - I just wish I knew what each of them were typically used for so I could decide which would be a good choice to obtain the needed constant and switched 12 volt sources.
