Hi guys!
I would like help with VIN number location on a 1933 Ford Truck. I have one that I`m thinking of buying but would like to check that it has the numbers still and the old guy does not know where to look for the numbers. Are there supposed to be a cowl tag or just numbers stamped into the frame?
Hope someone can help me, please send a email.
Thanks,Anders.
i have a 1930 and mine is on the frame rail on the drivers side top under the subrails . as for the 33 i am not real sure but with only 3yrs difference it maybe worth a shot . good luck.

If there is not a tag on the pass. side of the firewall, look on the driver
side top frame rail, near the firewall or close to the exhaust manifold out-
let. They can be difficult to read so take along a wire brush and flashlight.

Yes, Robb is correct. I've got them on the frame on my '34 truck, and saw the vin at the same place on my bro-in law's '33 Ford truck.

Welcome to FTE Bob! To clarify, the number is stamped onto the frame, and many times not very well. Ford also put the number on the cylinder heads on the engine, but usually this number is useless as many trucks have had engine swaps through the years.
Hope you find this site usefull and visit us often! Good luck!
Thanks for all tips guys! Yes it was there but unreadeble. Very helpful site this and I`ll come back with more questions as we go along. Thanks again,Sweede
