i dont have a wiring diagram, but i just gave a guy a detailed description of where all the wires go on the g.p. controller, if they are hooked up wrong, its robably bad. they burn up really easy. the best thing to do is update the controller to a 7.3 style. but don't remove that old one if the controller is not leaking, hard to get to and not in the way. i dont think its in the way anyways.

The wiring description he gave in the other post is for the late model glow plug system.
Your 84 is completely different.
Your controller is in the rear of the right head and it goes into the coolant.
Those are prone to breaking off when you try to remove them and where they are located is a real pain to work on them.
The best and cheapest thing you can do is convert to a manual system or change to the new style system. That new style system will cost about 175 dollars plus.
