Just a little ranting here. Went hunting this past weekend, of course, I don't have my Mud T/A's on because I sold them to purchase 17" for the new 2005 that is now 4 weeks late. Anyway, it snowed a quite a bit, enough to need good tires and/or chains. My hunting was severely limited due to improperly prepared vehicle. Plus, I ended up hitting a berm with a running board, shattering the running board, and the running board came up and hit the side of the cab, caved it it, and proceeded to do quite a bit of damage to the front of the box. I also drug the rear bumper going through a creek, and damaged the rear bumper and almost tore off all the wirring. Today, I find out the lousy plastic running board is $371 for just the one side, from ford. I would never replace it with that junk at that price, but the truck is supposed to be switched with my new 05 today. No deal on the switch until the old truck is fixed.
THAT is why I use a 4 wheeler the psd pulls it to the land and the ARTIC CAT does the dirty work, sorry to hear about the truck hope you get it fixed and get the new one soon.

Just got off the phone with a buddy who went all last week in the Bitterroot. He said it was so nasty they could barley see to shoot and came home empty handed. I am sorry to hear about your truck but if it makes you feel any better one of the guys he went with almost flipped his 32 ft 5'ver coming out putting it up on 2 wheels and doing some damage. I hope you bagged something for your trouble?
Surprisingly, we saw lots of game, but the game was very skitterish, could have been the weather? The only thing we shot was a bunch of sage grouse. Without horses, the elk were just to far out of range, and the deer were just a bit to crafty for me. I don't have a 4 wheeler, I do have a modified jeep CJ-7 that I usually tow. This was going to be an easy day, the place we were going dosn't even require 4wd most of the time, and I had my son, grandson, brother, and his son with me, making the CJ just a tad to cramped.
Got a quote from the body shop, $2400. Lots of labor and VERY expensive parts (2). Good news, I believe I will turn the truck over to the the body shop with $ to fix, and I will get the 05 as soon as the paperwork is complete.
Still not sure what the hold up is, I ordered the new truck in August, was supposed to be here in 5-6 weeks. Still not here. I decided I would just take one of the trucks they have on the lot, but the dealership claims since I ordered one, I need to wait for it. Others, don't believe that should be an issue, including the salesman. So he has put one of the trucks from the lot into storage until they can get this resolved with ford.
