Tire air pressure sensors
Are the tire air pressure sensosrs on the Expedition wheels transferable to new wheels. Getting ready to bid and a set take off wheels, shinny Alumn. they do not look like they have sensor valve stems. Any Idea on how much new senors cost. To lazy to call dealer. I will probably buy new tires for these rims and get rid on Conti's.

I bought a new set of rims and the sensors were removed from my old ones and placed in the new ones. I'm not sure if they had to have a special valve stem or not. I did have to have the valve stems replaced on the Conti tires before selling them so they would hold air.....

Thanks for your reply. It looks like the senor and valve stem are attached and are removed as a unit. That is why you had to put new valve stems in your old wheels/tires. I am bidding on set of chrome or polished alum. wheels off an Expedition on Ebay, but look like they do not have any valve stems or sensors on them. Just want better looking wheel than the stock one that come on the 04 XLT. Don't want to get to fancy or the tires/wheels will disapear even in broad day lite where I live and I park in the garage most of the time.
