'83 F-250 6.9 Diesel Timing troubles,HELP!!!
I replaced the head gaskets on my baby. Normally this would not have been a problem, BUT while I had the injector pump off my son turned it. This screwed up the timing and I'm not sure how to fix it. Pleeassse HELP. I really need this truck running by tomorrow afternoon.

Doing head gasket myself. There sould be a "Y" on the gear that the pump bolts to line the Y up with the O on the other gear. I messed up and removed pump and gear housing as one unit. No big deal just alittle more work.

I stand corrected to line up gears without taking cover off you need to get an inspection mirror to see the Y on the cam gear put motor on TDC take putty knife and rag and clean off front of cam gear this will help you see the Y after you find the Y take a paint marker and mark the teeth of cam gear on each side of the Y. Then the tooth of pump gear that is marked Y needs to go between the 2 marked teeth on cam gear. I had to install pump gear and housing as one unit (pump would not clear intake). Also had to put a mark on face of pump gear and front hole of housing just to make sure pump gear didnt move while installing evrything at once.
