Got the new e-fuel pump installed and was wondering...
1986 F250 6.9L Diesel
I was reading a thread posted sometime ago by builder12 I think, where
it was okay to bypass the water-fuel separator as long as you change the Fuel Filter everytime you change the oil?
If that being the case, If I run high grade rubber tubbing (goodyear) from the e-pump over directly to the fuel filter eliminating the current cross-country layout would the goodyear tubing withstand the heat?
I bypassed mine. I went directly below the separator to the frame channel and cut the metal tubing just before it turns to go up. Then cut the metal tubing as it turns to follow the cross member. Inserted about 8" of fuel hose and clamped. So I have some metal line from the elec. fuel pump to this 8" hose then metal line over to the filter.
