Leaky power steering unit, is this an easy fix?

My power steering pump is leaking and I don't know exactly from where other than its from the pump area itself. I presume its got seals and gaskets that can be replaced. Is this correct? Is it an easy fix and should I be looking out for any issues?

This would be the devil's own demon posessed F350 turbo of the dark year 1994.

I took a close look and the leak actually appears to be in the gearbox (???). Thi is the unit that the steering axle comes into from the steering wheel, I guess this is where all the power steering assit goes on. The leak appears to be coming from where the small actuating arm connects on the bottom of this unit (forgive me, I don't know the right terms). The arm that connects to the tie rods themselves. About 1/8" of gear teeth are visible between the box and the small arm, looks like the leak is coming from there. I don't guess the gear teeth here should be visible, is there a seal there that is gone or should it be torqued back into the box with the nut on the end of the gear shaft that the arm is on? Again, I don't know if my description is accurate, so I'll try to go snap a pic later when it stops raining.

Satan's own truck, I tell you, full of demons.

OK, took a pic looking up from the front, the gear teeth I mentioned are visible. Does this help?

Yes there is a seal in there the splines above the pitman arm is just the end of the spline above that there should be a lock ring a flat washer and a seal. Too change the seal: Remove the nut and pull the pitman arm with a puller (can rent one from auto zone for nothing just leave a deposit) after arm is off remove snap ring. Then put drain pan under stearing box. Easiest way to get seal out is to start truck and turn wheel all the way to one side this puts presure on seal and it should pop out. Trun wheel back to where you started the ptiman arm only goes on shaft one way. Replace seal and snap ring (some stearing boxs have a shim or two ) if so install them as they came out. install pitman arm and nut put fluid in pump start and check for leaks. That should take care of that demon!!!! BUT HE WILL MOVE TO ANOTHER AREA!!!!!!

Man, that was an excellent step by step, and education on proper terms. I appreciate it! I'll let you know how it goes and where the demon moves to!

I do appreciate it.

Do I need to disconnect the pitman arm from the tie rod to pull it?
