Questions and need advice 95 Bronco

I'm getting ready to put my 95 Bronco in the shop (5.0, auto) for some maintenance/repairs. She needs front-end work, shocks, and I'm trying to finally get rid of the dreaded drivetrain clunk. I'm thinking of buying new radius arm bushings and sway bar bushings and shocks and having them installed by a mechanic so I don't get hit with a markup at the mechanic. Is this frowned upon, or okay? (I wish I could do things myself, but the lack of tools, space, and skill are a problem) I also plan on having the double cardan joint in the rear driveshaft replaced to attempt to fix the clunk. I've tried greasing the slip joint several times, that didn't do it. One mechanic decided it was my spider gears, that didn't do it. Last fall my transfer case and transmission went, rebuilt the tranny and replaced the t-case, still have the clunk. U-joints seem very tight, so I'm hoping the cardan joint is the culprit. Is there another cardan joint in the front shaft, and if so should I have it replaced at the same time?

PS - I had front brakes, ball joints, and axle uni's done last summer, so they should all be fine. As you can tell, I'm replacing the entire Bronco year by year.

Have the mechanic check the pinion nut on the rear diff. Fixed all my clunking issues!

Naw man, nothing wrong with paying the mechanic to do it. There's only so much that you can do, or in my case feel like doing with the blessed thing. -WB

Swenson, if you're going to replace radius arm and sway bar bushings go with the Energy Suspension polyurethane.

The only reason I have against going to the Energy Suspension bushings is everyone seems to complain about squeaking, and squeaking is one of the things I'm trying to get my truck to stop doing. By the way, can anyone give an estimate as to what they would expect to pay for labor (not parts) to have front bushings (sway bar and radius arms) replaced, shocks replaced, and driveshaft double cardan joints replaced? I really have no idea what to expect and HATE going to the mechanic blind. Thanks guys.
