I have a 95 ford ranger 4 cyl and have done many exterior mods but all show and no go! I would like to add a nitrous system allthought I would rarely us it. Does any one have any ideas, and also does any one know how much hp boost I can run on a stock engine?
I would like to find a brand that others have had good luck with thanks much
Welcome to FTE!
Do you really want to test the limits of the 2.3?
The smallest NOS system should be good enough for recreational enjoyment. Going big would require more mods, more money & more risk.
Take a time out to figure how much power you can afford to wring out of the 2.3 or if that's even where you want to go with your truck.
Have you already done the air intake & exhaust system?
AL.
P.S. Notice that NOS & exhaust are highlighted in blue? Click on them!

I've never run N20 on a ranger (seeing as i have not bought it yet), but i did run it on my SHO. A general rule for nitrous is if you run colder plugs, and don't exceed half your hp in N20, your motor will handle it.
Ok no motor mods a plus but what system has anyone had luck with....... and by the way Bittersweetsho have a 1995 sho with turbo its soooooo sweet took about 3 months to custom the plumbing but def worth it!!!!!!!! can bark the tires in 4th when the secoundaries open makes the ricers look like there standing still
I'd get either a NOS, Nitrous Express, or ZEX...the stock internals in the Lima engines can handle quite a lot. I've seen a Lima with stock internals pushing 700 HP. I wouldn't go past a 50 shot.
