The easiest way to do this is to swap out your whole rear end for an explorer rear end with disc brakes already on it. All you have to do is flip the shock mounts or just use some explorer leafs.

What year Explorer rear ends will work in say, a 95 Ranger? Is there any issue with the rear ABS found in many Ranger models?
I'm sure the cheap tires on the rear of my truck are most of my problem, but I'm tiring of the open differential and the wheelspin I get when taking tight corners from time to time.
