I have a '93 Ford Ranger and am considering installing a lift kit. does anyone have any advice as far as what type and brand? i want it to be economical.
1. should it be a body lift kit? i was thinking 3".
3 inch body lift run you about $150. It should take about a day to day and a half. It's not that hard. Just have an extra person or two around to help.
4 inch Rancho/Skyjacker/trail master/etc..will run around $500. Best to get a kit that comes with new shocks. This will take the first time a little longer to do as there a lot more things to remove. Then it's best to get the brake line extensions.
A good place to get lifts is www.4wheelparts.com they offer free shipping on friday/saturday and sunday.
Thanks, i will check that website right away. Have you done this to your truck? what do you do about a filler panel for the back bumper? just curious. do most people just leave it open?
I left my space open..some kit's come with bumper raising kits. You can go to your local hardware store and get some rubber or find a piece of aluminum diamond plate to cut and fit if it's a big concern to you. Something can always be made out of somehting.
