86 Ranger cooling problems
I have an 86 Ford Ranger with a 2.9L V-6 engine and I am haveing some cooling problems. The coolant doesnt seem to be circulating throught the engine. My dad thinks its because we need to replace some vacuum lines, which is probably true but I think its also becasue a sensor is not plugged in. See there is this plug that splits off from the coolant sensor and it is unplugged. This is what the plug looks like and this is where it splits off from the other one. The blue arrow at the top is where it leads to the other plug. Thanx in advance.

If your not circulating coolant you either have a thermostat thats stuck closed, a corroded impeller on the water pump or clogged radiator. None of the vacuum lines or electronics will stop coolant from flowing through the cooling system.
