My wife is buying an '00 E.B. Expy. For some strange reason it came without the tow package.
What exactly came with a factory tow package?
I'm guessing a receiver hitch, wiring harness, a tranny oil cooler, and???
Is the wiring kit a plug & play type of thing I can pick up from the dealer or boneyard?
Is there a preferred brand of receiver hitch? Or any to avoid? I'd like one that tucks up as much as possible so as not to hang up on the departure angle, but I can't see how one would be much different from another - not much variety in where to put it!
Has anyone here installed a tranny oil cooler? What brand/type did you use? How's it work? Where does it mount (in front of the radiator or under the body somewhere?)
what do the expys without the tow package have for gears i know my 03 came witha class 5 hitch and a oil cooler and trans cooler and 2 trailer wiring hookups for a trailer

Hey!
Cool, an engine oil cooler & a tranny cooler. I am going to be busy!
Paulc is right, mine is a 2000 EB w/ heavy duty tow package and it has 3:55 rear. tows my 4300lb trailer very well. I was told they did not offer the 3:73 in 2000. Just what I heard.
Nice! Thanks for the info. I can't seem to find a locker to fit, so I guess I could make do with a LS until one appears on the market. I'll check the codes.
CooL!

I'd think that, by now, someone has developed a locker for the newer Fords. If it fits an F150, it should work on the Expy too. Perhaps broadening your search (for F150s) will help locate one.
Sorry to burst your bubble, but on the 03's, the coolers you are seeing are a tranny cooler and a power steering cooler, not an oil cooler. I've traced the lines and confirmed this with the dealerships
