1952 original paint color for valve cover?
Am in the process of restoring a 1952 (pulled out of a barn near Stone Mountain GA). This may sound petty, but I am trying to determine the original color of the valve cover... any one have a clue?

Ford didn't have valve covers on any motor that I know of for the year 1952.

The only '52 add I've seen shows the block a light gold with the valve cover a darker gold almost a brown color. I'm going to go check out a few more sources, as that doesn't sound like ford engine colors. -4speed

Valve cover color
Have a 52 F3 w/ 215 ohv "cost clipper" 6. The engine is absolutely orig.-
the color is dark green, almost BRG.

BTW- if you're looking for the cover decal - I believe Osbourne reproductions still carrys it.
