intermittent airbag light

My airbag light will blink whenever it gets the urge. No rhyme or reason that I can determine. A while back I put in a new stereo and I assume that's when it started (the truck was recently purchased.) Right after I installed the stereo, the aftermarket remote door lock stopped working (it was wired very poorly to start with) but managed to lock me out of my own truck. Twice I had to crawl in through the sliding window. Anyway, I ended up disconnecting the remote lock feature (don't like that thing on my key chain) but I can't figure out the airbag switch. Any ideas?

You can have autozone see if there are any codes in the computer. BTW, you didn't tell us what model and year. If its a truck, check the connections on the shutoff switch for the passenger's side.
