Looking to buy an EFI Harness for 96 4.9

2) Durability
3) Ease of Maintenance
4) Gas Milage
My 5.0 is quick with no load. But it won't pull my friend's 6,200 lb racecar trailer like my six did. I never had to take it out of overdrive on the highway while towing, but the 302 needs second gear on some of the inclines. Like I said, it will run circles around the six with no load, but with a load on (not that I haul every single day, but I haul heavy loads several times a year) the V8 won't hack it. I don't want to go with a 351, because I won't get much more torque, and I don't want to trade off my gas milage for the additional horsepower. Besides, I think that if you compared the factory dyno sheets, at 1,000 rpm, the six out torques the 351 by about 5 ft.lbs. Both the six and the eight get roughly 18-20 mpg cruising at 60 mph on the highway, but with the racecar trailer, the six got 13 mpg, the eight gets 7. Besides, I never would have pulled the six had the factory oil pan not leaked from rusting out on it's sides, and the freeze plugs (I parked on salty dirt for five and a half years while I worked at DelDOT and that caused the rust, because it was outside in, not from inside out). If I steamclean the engine regularly, this won't happen again, and this engine should go forever. It looked brand new on the inside with 230,000 miles on it except the phenolic gear, but that's getting replaced with a steel gear. Any luck, I'll get 770,000 more miles from her, if I use synthetic oil.
