91 E-250 EGR vac solenoid w/o power
Hi everyone,
I just picked up a 91 E-250 with a 300 I6 in it for $600! It's replacing an 87 Suburban that's rusting out more every time I look at it. The van didn't run but $50 and a trip to the U pull it yard later, it lives again.
I have 2 problems, first the EGR vac solenoid has no power. There is vacuum and the EGR valve works and holds vacuum. I'm getting a code 327 for the EVP sensor that goes out if I move the valve by hand (but then it runs rough.) I can't seem to trace the wires to check the other end.
I put a reman ECM in yesterday because the one I had was from an 90 E-250 with the thermactor which mine doesn't have. It didn't solve the problem $130 later! Any help would be appreciated.
Does any one know where I can get a wire diagram for this year van?
The other problem might be related. I get a bad nock under load but no noise when I'm just running at a steady speed. It almost sounds like a broken rocker!
