96 Explorer JBL no left sound w/cassette;works w/stereo ok
I have a 96 Explorer with the factory JBL system AM/FM/Cassette w/sub. The am/fm stereo works fine and all the controls(balance,fade,etc) work fine when listening to the radio. However, when playing a cassette tape, the left side front and rear speakers are barely audible. This only occurs in the cassette mode. Shifting the balance **** wont compensate the volume either. First I tried cleaning the tape head and it didn't help. Then I swapped an identical unit (known to be working properly)from my brothers explorer and experienced the same problem. As I mentioned, this only occurs when using the cassette. Any suggestions would be appreciated greatly. Thanks-Don
