New Ranger Rim size question -

I noticed that all the new 4x Rangers come on 16" rims, except for the FX4 Level II, I was curious if you have one of the rangers with the 16" rims can you change to 15" rims or is the a clearance issue? Has anyone done this or tried?

if you have 16" rims and want to go to 15", it will not be a problem. The problem could lye when switching from 15 to 16 depending on the size of the tire.

I have a 2004 XL and it came from the factory with 15" wheels.

*EDIT* sorry, I just noticed he said 4x4s... I have a 4x2.

Have you done this, do you know for sure? I don't agree that the issue would be going from 15" to 16", that issue would have more to do with a tire size change clearance issue. What I am curious about is will 15" rims clear the brake rotors or anything else that a smaller rim size might cuase issues with? Is there something difrent on the FX4 Level II that allows the smaller(15") rim size because all of the other new 4x ranger come on 16" rims, in other words can you change any 4x ranger that came with 16" rims back to a 15" rim.

the original size rims on my 4x4 was 16 who ever owned it before me switched them to 15 with no problems. I wish it still had the 16 on it

Thanks, that's what I was curious, Valo look on the bright side, you can now get a top of the line set of off road tires for about $550 instead of $850.......
