Thank you Citizens

I had a thought today. There are quite a few other military members here that I know of, and I know for sure that they are thinking the same thing I am. Today I was inspired to put those thoughts into words.

It seems everywhere I go, both in the real world and on the internet, folks are thanking military personel for their service. Well, I think it's about time that we start thanking yall.
You are the reason why we do what we do. If it werent for knowing that there are good decent folks worth protecting out there we wouldnt have the drive to fight. If it werent for the continued support by our fellow countrymen we wouldnt have any insperation to endure the harships of war. If it werent for your pats on our backs, for your smiles and "God bless"s, for your handshakes, and for your flag waving, we certainly woulndt be willing to make the sacrifices we do.
If it werent for you the Marines wouldnt have landed on Normandy, and kept going. If it werent for you the Soldiers wouldnt have suffered in Vietnam, and kept going. If it werent for you the Sailors wouldnt have fought the Japanese and their kamikaze pilots, and kept going. If it werent for you the Airmen wouldnt have flown through anti-aircraft munitions, and kept going.

We see the protestors and nay sayers on tv, we hear them on the radio, but when we go out on the streets, when we go into the stores, when we drive down the road yall are the ones we see. Up close and in person. You are real to us, not just some image on tv. And it's those person to person encounters that stick with us in our hearts and minds.
You are the driving force behind the American Military. You fuel our drive. You harvest our fears and yield us our courage.

So on behalf of the United States of America's military, let me say Thank YOU and God bless YOU.

It is humbling to be thanked by those we most thank !!!!

And PLEASE know the media is NOT the public, not even the majority, but a small minority and some day we will get the traitorous jerks to back down !

I get LIVID when all I see is the negative when I KNOW ther are SO many positives...

I worked in the middle east and SAW how poorly those people were treated by their own leaders !!! We are fortunate to have who we have in the Presidency and wish I could tell him face to face how much I appreciate what HE has done and how HE expresses his sincere concern and thanks to "our boys".

As a sailor, I don't get to see the carnage up close, and I am not normally in the immediate danger of my Army and Marine brothers, But I thank you for acknowledging the fact that we are doing the right thing. I hope the rest of the free world soon recognizes the true evil that we helped to depose. And I want to re-iterate that fact: Saddam Hussein was not crazy! He was truly evil!

Thank you, America, for your continued support.
