I've got a '01 f250 with about 50000 miles and no modifications yet. I tow a 24' enclosed trailer a couple times a week. I'm looking for more power and better mpg. I've got about a $1000 in my budget right now....what kind of upgrades can i do? I thought about a chip or programmer, but after searching on this forum and reading some of the posts, i'm not sure that's still what i want to do. Any suggestions? Thanks
I vote for intake and exhaust first, for which you should still be in budget. Guages are fun, but they can wait until next year. However, do not get a chip or tuner until the guages are in!
I would only echo the suggestions above except since your truck is still under warranty I would recommend going with a Ford AIS intake since it won't void any warranty you have on your truck.

Chip will certainly void the warranty if there is damage. Keep in mind, if you play you pay.
How much of a difference is there between a 3.5 and 4in downpipe? Which one do I need? Thanks
bigger is always better arrrr, arrrr, arrrrr. a 4" will fit fine on yor truck(i have the same truck) all you have to do is relocate one ground bolt(you unscrew it and screw it in to another hole) piece of cake
I would personally get the pyro first. With my truck I can hit 1100 degrees with after market exaust. But know with my chip exaust and intake I pretty sure I could burry the needle if I want to. Just my opinion. Theese guys know there stuff
