Went to do a test drive on my 03' 6.0 psd, with the mechanic. Well we did the test drive and of course the truck didn't do the reving up thing, or the hard to start, of course it would be 68 degrees out today also. So after returning to the dealership and talking with the mechanic about the glow plug and how they weren't like the 7.3 and didn't stay on for an additional couple minutes. He also told me that if my truck went hay wire and started reving up that the brakes would hold this truck no matter how high it reved.
So i went into see the service person and they preceed with getting my truck ready to go. I had asked her to add in my work ticket that i thought the reving up was a safety concern and she said she couldn't do that.
So they took my truck over to there detail area and washed it and was supposed to clean grime that they had got on my passenger seat off. Well they had forgot to clean the grime off the seat in a matter 0f 10 minutes or so and had to take it back. So i went over to where the detail area was and happened to look at the side of my truck and there was SCRATCHES all the way down the bed. It looked like someone had taken chicken wire or fenceing wire and ran it down my truck. I about crapped myself when i seen this. So back to service office i went and they came over and looked at the truck
Now i am in an 04' F-150 Scab 4x4 (rental), and waiting to see what they are going to do about my truck.
I am so fed up !!!!!!!!
Sorry for the long thred but i had to tell someone of this....
I guess you reminded us all of a valuable lesson. Don't let anyone wash your rig. If I'm the only one cleaning my truck, and I scratch it - I only have myself to kick in the a#s.
I hope they are able to fix it properly for you. Good luck!

YOU GOT THAT RIGHT.
I even go as far as buying a new mit everytime i wash my trucks!
Picked my new PSD 6.0 up 3/24 (the night of) drove from Houston to San Antonio to get it. It was dark when I bought it, when I got home to wash it there was a small dent on the drivers side bed. Pretty upset about it guess I should call the dealership, but don't want to drive back to San Antonio to get it fixed.
I would think it would be worth the drive back. Because when you go to resale or trade the truck it will affeck your trade.
My opnion.
good luck,

I was told buy a frined in the auto world that when the factory paint has been touched, like repaint and stuff like, that it affects the value of the vehicle.
Thas why i am not sure what they are going to do, but i made it clear that my truck will be 100% PERFECT, no scratch's, and swiral marker nothing. before i will accept it back. They took a $40,000 truck and made a huge depreciation in my truck value.
Best of luck to you getting that straighten out. Just keep taking it up the ranks at the dealership until you get satisfaction. I had to do that with one of my club (racing) cars. It was always garaged and never saw the winter roads. Took it to a dealer to have a computer problem checked out. Went to pick it up and they had scratched and dented my driver's door. They paid to get it fix and I took it to my own body shop as I was an hour and half away from the dealer.
I took my truck to an automatic car wash one time, they told me my 23 foot long truck could fit in their car wash. Well the sprayers got to the back and scratched the drivers side of my box. Best part is, they put a claim on our insurance about downtime, when they were down 30 minues, and would not cover our claim. Last time i ever go to an automatic car wash.
Wash Job!! I stood outside my Ford dealer waiting for my truck to be state inspected and watched the wash guy use the exact same brush he just washed someones new car with to sweep pebbles off his wash bay!!! Not kiddin, I couldn't beleive it..
Guess I will take this as a lesson and caller dealer Monday and tell them, "Under no circumstances do you detail my truck when it arrives." Not worth the risk after waiting for an order. Deac
They had done a pre walk over my truck and they are not denying that they didn't do this. My wife had looked my truck overon that side before they had taken the truck through the truck wash and it didn't have these Scratches.
Well i hate to say it but my 02' F-250 7.3 had the sameEXACT scratches. I had my truck down there for no start issue.in Feb or March. When i went to wash it in april it had the EXACT same scratches that my new 03' has now. I thought i had hit something, but u don't understand how i am with a vehicle. I baby these trucks of mine. I was so mad @ myself for doing this, OR I THOUGHT THAT I HAD DONE THIS.
As soon as i seen those scratches it INSTANTLY flash back to my 02'. That made me even wound up.
You know we all paid alot of money for these truck, not to have some high school wash boy demoralize the value of our truck in a minute or two. i don't mean to harp on this but the longer i set hear and talk about it, the more P O'ed i am getting again!!!
Well i am getting ready to go back to the dealership and take pics with a couple camera's.
