what to do, what to do

hey there helpers, I just bought a 1984 bronco 2, and I acquired some 33's. I"m wondering what is the least possible and cheapest way to get the new tires in with no bottoming out or rubbing even through some rough terrain. I was thinking just body lift, homemade style, and I was wondering what all is involved. any suggestions are very welcome

Body lift is the cheapest. You can pull 2" lift with no changes, but 3" or more may interfere with the folowing; Battery cables & wireing, steering shaft extentions, clutch linkage, fan shroud alignment and obviously bumper gap. I am probably missing a couple of things but I am sure some one will point them out.

You can use square tubing on the rear mounts stretching from one mount to the other and not only stabilize the rear of the body, but also make for a good point to anchor a roll cage. Just a thought, you mentioned homemade right?

Sell the 33s and get a set of 31 s,the will fit with any mods to your BII.Anything bigger and you will need a body/suspension lift.

Now there is a good and inexpensive Idea. And that weak drive-train will thank you.

selling the tires and getting 31's is not an option, they may fit but through off roading and such they'd stil hit no matter what, right? plus the 33s are used and I got them for free. so I can get away with doing a 2 inch body lift and not extending anything? then I could just cut the fenders and everything will fit no problem, right?

P215/75/R15{stock tires} will rub if you do off roading.Yes 31 will rub some when off roading. Now if you make your own body lift then thats the way to go ,but if you are buying one them you will be spending just about as much as a set of good 31s will coast,JMO
