86 b2 stalling/ falling rpm

i just replaced the fule filter (and subsequently the housing) in my b2 this last wekend. But i also replaced the air filter and the pc valve. No matter what i do it just keeps stalling, not always fully, but it will sputter down in drive, and then i shift to nutral and it recovers,(this is only when stopped, usually at a stop light), how can i cure this?

Is sounds like you might have a problem with the IAC, try cleaning that first. If the problem continues try pulling the codes.

You can buy an EEC-4 scanner for 30 bucks at any parts store or check the tech info sticky for pulling the codes. Like Ken said try cleaning the IAC first, thats the most likely problem.

The IAC is on the passengers side of the intake manifold, looks like a film canister with a tail and two wires, clean on the valve.

See the tech info post, "pulling eec-iv codes".
