oil pressure and other problems
I've got an 88 Bronco II with 2.9 v6, automatic. I've got a cople of problems. First, sometimes when you crank it, it makes an awful ticking sound and won't go away. Sometimes when you crank it, it doesn't. I have noticed the oil pressure when it cranks goes to the max and stays there. It never fluctuates, just maxs out and stays. Second, sometimes when yu crank it, it will start right up then go dead. It might do this several times then start and run fine. It doesn't do this all the time. Sometimes it can be running just fine and when you slow down it goes dead, but will crank right back up. I've got a lot invested in this thing and I can't quit now. It has had the transmission just rebuilt and a new rearend put in. I'm getting it ready to roll for my son and it needs to be right. Any help and suggestions would greatly be appreciated. Thanks
