I have heard tell that there is the possibility of an Expedition FAQ. I'd like to make a few suggestions for topics:

1. IAC diagnosis, cleaning and replacement. (i.e. "My expy dies at stoplights...")

2. Reading and clearing codes. (i.e. "my SES light is on. What does that mean?"

3. Upgrading headlights/foglights (Xenarc, silverstar, etc.)

4. Engine oil

5. Transmission oil (which transmission oil do I use?)

6. Replacing the LLS with standard suspension.

7. Trailer towing capacity.

8. 4.6 v. 5.4

9. Tire Pressure.

10. Known "issues" with new Expeditions (brake dust, A/C, axle chatter, etc.)

11. Gauges jumping, radio not working (i.e. battery dying).

12. Gauges intermittently fail (i.e. bad connection that needs to be soldered).

13. Maybe something on the known COP issues (leaks causing problems, how to diagnose, etc.)

14. Monsta's address so we can all send bribes in.

15. How to remove brake rotors.

16. Tranny fluid changes (link to the excellent article on here).

17. COP/Spark Plug changes (again, link to article).

I'm thinking something like a new and improved EOG, that could be posted on FTE and that we could send these commonly recurring questions to. Other suggestions for topics?

19. "Daddy, why is my rear window wiper dead, AGAIN?"

20. Interior lights won't go out/Door Ajar light stays on (bad/dirty light switch)

 

21. Bypass switch for rear hatch light. (A must for tailgating!)

22. Child locks on rear doors keep locking.

 

I don't want too much stuff in it!

If it is too good then nobody will ever need to post again!

Those are great "subjects" to begin with!

It will be set up very similar to the Super Duty FAQ. (see the sticky on top of the Super Duty forum)

Same basic subjects...

I will bookmark thsis thread and use it for reference.
