chipping paint on fender flares?
After purchasing my 02 EB in Dec I noticed that the paint on the fender flares were chipping on the edge where it meets the body. 3 of the 4 flares were like this. I thought I would take it to the dealer to see if it was covered under warranty. They told me they had been painted before but they would repair them anyway. They also said it didn't look like it had been seriously wrecked before. I thought that was odd that they would fix something that wasn't their fault or maybe they were lying to make them look good for fixing something they didn't have to, who knows. At least it getting fixed. Has anybody experienced the same problem with flares or have mine probably been painted before. Thanks in advance.

Well...working in the office of our body shop and from that experience....sounds like they either weren't primed right from the factory or they have been repainted. More then likely whoever repainted them didn't remove them from the truck to paint them and masked them off from the body of the truck. That might be why they are peeling. At least they are doing it for free.
