Instrament Cluster Change...

I have a 96 b2300 very basic model. I wanted to install a tach and after weighing the options I decided to purchase an instrament cluster of another vehicle that had the tach.

Are there any issues with this swap?
Will the speedo be right?
Is rolling the odometer to match the actual milage illegal?
Does anybody know the redline for the 2.3L?

Any advice will help
thanx

OK, I'll try my best at this one...

Will the speedo be right?

-It will at least be close. These vehicles don't come with such a wide range of tire sizes that you'd need to worry about being grossly off... If you think you are, a dealership can reprogram the computer to be right...

Is rolling the odometer legal?

-It is, but you have to do it right. The normal way to go about this is a written statement that contains the milage at the time of the swap, your and a witness's signature, and a notary. However, your state determines what is the right way. Talk to the supervisor at your local tag or DMV office as to what is legal. You may have to contact the county or state government too...

Your redline is 6000 RPM.
