Fuel filter
Bought my 95 F150 about a year ago. Today I smelled gas and checked it out. Turns out the fuel filter is leaking. Is this hard to change? It looks like pressure fittings with clips. Must be long over due to be changed if it is leaking:

Get a haynes manual. It will tell you exactly how to do it. Also, make sure that you relieve your fuel pressure first, or you could get a faceful of gas! It also says how to do that in the book as well.

those clips pull off easily with a pair of needle nose pliars or a small screw driver. the reason for the new is because they sometimes break. the new just push in with your fingers, see how the old ones are facing before you take them out. if you are already leaking fuel , there probably wont be much fuel pressure , but take care . the filter has two small screws holding it to the frame with a metal bracket.the filters are directional . this may be more than you need , but up here , and im sure in other places , going out and buying a book is not an option. good luck,bob

Thanks guys. I'll change it tommorrow (Monday). Still digging out from the worst snow we had in the last 30 years. High winds and 70 centimeters (28 inches) of snow in about 20 hrs. I,m in Nova Scotia.
