Front Main Seal Leaks at 100K Miles!
Well all 3 of my cars now have main seal leaks! What is up with this! I guess its just my Lucky day!
How hard is it to get to the Front Main Seal
on a 1997 Mazda B4000 4.0 Liter?
Is this something I want to tackel?
Geeez this car think is killing my wallet!

You need to pull the crankshaft pulley to get to the seal. It is a lot easier if you pull the radiator and fan. Once you get to the seal it isn't too difficult. I always pack the inside lip of seals with grease. The manual says to oil it up. Grease works better and acts as a heat sink when it first starts to seat in. Don't try to pry the pulley off. Use a pulley puller (I couldn't resist that. Sorry guys!)
