Build sheets under floor?

I have heard that there is a build sheet that has all kinds of info on your truck somewhere hidden within the truck. Most often under the passanger side floor mat. Is this true? I have a 78 and 89 f250 and a 79 f 150 that are almost mint yet. I would like to take a look at the build sheet for each. Does anyone know where they would be located at? I just had the though of tearing up the nice floor mat i still have in each and findout there i nothing there. I also have read you can call or email ford and they will send you one but why go through the trouble it you already have is somewhere.

Usually most of the time they are on the bottom of the seat in the springs.

If all else fails, call Ford, they can send you all the info with only the VIN number needed.
